Junior Warehouse Technician - Audio Visual Hire 

 

Projected Image is expanding! We are an Audio Visual Hire company who work closely with Production Companies, Event Planners, Streaming Agencies and Venues across the UK. 

 

We are a small team who take great pride in the service we provide, and we are looking for a Junior Warehouse Technician, with some previous experience in the Audio Visual industry to join us and support in bringing our clients events to life.

 

This role is suited to a self-motivated individual who has some experience of AV equipment preparation and is comfortable working to tight deadlines. You don’t need to know everything already, this is a role where you can learn on the job, but you do need solid fundamentals, curiosity, with the ability to learn quickly and apply what you’ve learned.

 

The Role:

 Including but not limited to: 

• Support the day-to-day operations of the warehouse 

• Testing and preparing all equipment before it leaves the warehouse, as well as on return.  

• Flag any repairs, support with maintenance and assist where possible with determining and fixing faults

• Assist in the maintenance and looking after of the warehouse space

• Use CurrentRMS rental software to book equipment out and check all back in

• Follow prep sheets to ensure the correct equipment, quantities and configurations are booked out as required 

• Work with the office team to ensure projects are well documented and technically sound, from quote stage right through to loading

• Help coordinate deliveries and collections, loading and unloading of equipment onto vehicles

• Use of company vehicles to deliver and collect equipment (over 25 only). 

 

About You: 

• Basic understanding across a variety of Audio Visual specialties, Sound, Video, inc LED + Lighting, but also advantageous if you have knowledge of Power and Set Design 

• Able to undertake manual labour required in the position. The role involves an element of manual handling of bulky and heavy technical equipment 

• A high level of attention to detail and willingness to learn 

• Well mannered with good communication skills. Not afraid to ask questions if unsure about something and able to liaise with clients politely 

• PC literate in both PC and MAC, Google Suite and Office products 

• Understand that this may not be a 9-5 job and that weekend or anti social hours may be required as demanded by certain jobs

• Fluent in both written and spoken English 

• Can work calmly under pressure, in a fast paced environment

 

Job Type: This is a Part Time, Temp to Perm position, on an initial 3 month contract.  

 

We are looking for someone who can join us asap from April - July initially, with the possibility of it becoming a permanent position. 

Initial contract will be 3-days PW but ideally with the flexibility for this to increase as & when demand changes. 

 

Location: You will be required to work in our office/warehouse in Basingstoke, RG24 

 

Hours: Part Time, 3 days per week (22.5hrs)

 

Salary: £15,000 PT  (equivalent to £25,000 FT)

Any overtime worked at weekends is repaid as time off in lieu. 

 

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience within the Audio Visual Industry, preferable if also within a warehouse environment.
